Tractor Supply celebrates Hometown Heroes with $500 donation

Posted

The Merrill Tractor Supply store joined more than 2,300 stores nationwide on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in celebrating the company’s inaugural National Hometown Heroes Day. As part of the event, they presented a $500 donation jointly to the Merrill Fire and Merrill Police Departments.
As part of a coordinated effort across all Tractor Supply locations, this $500 donation was the local contribution in an effort that collectively saw Tractor Supply stores donating $17,500 to 60 organizations within Wisconsin alone and more than $1 million donated in a single day to organizations supporting military service members, veterans, and first responders across the nation.
“The Hometown Heroes program reflects our deep gratitude for those who serve — military members, veterans and first responders,” said Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply. “These heroes embody courage and commitment, and we’re proud to honor them year-round. With National Hometown Heroes Day, we’re taking that recognition further by uniting communities across the country to celebrate their service and sacrifice.”
The Merrill store hosted community events including Touch-a-Truck activities with local fire and police departments, an opportunity to write thank-you notes to local heroes, craft activities for kids, and giveaways.
The recognition day fell during Tractor Supply’s two-week Hometown Heroes Days event, which runs from National First Responders Day on Oct. 28 through Veterans Day on Nov. 11. Military service members, veterans, and first responders receive a 10% discount on three key dates: First Responders Day (Oct. 28), National Hometown Heroes Day (Nov. 1), and Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
Tractor Supply’s Hometown Heroes benefit is available year-round through the company’s Neighbor’s Club rewards program, offering verified military members and first responders a 5% quarterly coupon, special holiday discounts, and designated parking at stores.
