The Lincoln County Veterans Council will host its annual Free Veterans Day Meal on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at the Northwoods Veterans Post, 601 Johnson St., Merrill, and this year’s free meal is made possible by a $3,000 donation from IncredibleBank.
Representatives from the bank presented the check to council leaders Aug. 27 at the post. With this year marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, the event holds even more significance.
The Free Veterans Day Meal is open to any Lincoln County veteran and one guest, and features a social hour from 3 to 4 p.m., a sit-down meal from 4 to 5 p.m., and live music by Grundy Road following the dinner, along with door prizes. Guests can choose pork loin or steak for their entree.
Reservations are required to attend and must be made no later than Oct. 15, 2026. Based on prior years, organizers said it is likely the event will reach full capacity well in advance of that date, so those who wish to attend are encouraged to make their reservations early. Once capacity is reached, no additional reservations will be accepted. To reserve a spot, sign up at the Northwoods Veterans Post or call Steve at 715.539.7315.
