The Merrill Culver's restaurant will be among the participating Wisconsin locations in a weeklong fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI), running June 1–7, 2026.
During the promotion, $1 from every Lemon Ice Cooler – Special Olympics Wisconsin Edition sold will be donated directly to SOWI. Customers will also have the option to round up their order total at the register to contribute additional support for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.
The campaign coincides with SOWI's Summer Games, the organization's largest statewide competition, scheduled for June 4–6 in Whitewater. More than 1,200 athletes are expected to compete in track and field, cornhole, and powerlifting.
Special Olympics Wisconsin President & CEO Chad Hershner said the partnership helps advance the organization's core mission. "This campaign not only raises critical funds but also increases awareness for the abilities and achievements of our athletes during one of the most exciting times of our year," Hershner said. "We invite communities across Wisconsin to join us — whether by visiting Culver's to purchase a Lemon Ice Cooler, rounding up at the register, or cheering on athletes at Summer Games."
Funds raised through the event support year-round sports training, competitions, and health programming for more than 10,000 SOWI athletes statewide. This is the second consecutive year Culver's Wisconsin locations have partnered with the organization on the promotion.
