Klinner Insurance acquires Cordova Insurance Agency

Cordova Insurance Agency customers will see the same faces at the same Merrill office, now under a new name. Medford-based Klinner Insurance has acquired the agency, which Jeremy and Carrie Cordova built over the past 15 years.
The Cordovas and their team will stay on, and Klinner Insurance has signed a long-term lease for the agency’s office at 716 E. Second St., according to a press release from Klinner Insurance. Customers will keep working with the people they already know, with added resources and support from the larger Klinner team.
“We have tremendous respect for what Jeremy, Carrie, and the entire Cordova team have built,” Klinner Insurance President Jason Steliga said. “They have created an agency with a strong reputation, an excellent team, and a culture that aligns naturally with our own. We’re grateful for the trust they’ve placed in Klinner and genuinely excited to welcome the Cordova team into our organization.”
The acquisition comes as Klinner Insurance marks its 80th anniversary. Founded in Medford in 1946, the independent agency has grown across northern and central Wisconsin while keeping its focus on personal relationships and local service.
“We know that relationships like these are earned over many years,” Steliga said. “Our responsibility now is to honor the trust Cordova’s customers and employees have placed in their agency while giving this talented team the support and resources to continue doing what they do best. We’re looking forward to learning from them, working alongside them, and building the next chapter together.”
The release thanks the Cordovas for the care they took during the transition and for trusting Klinner with the business, team, and customer relationships they spent 15 years building.
