Paid Letters to the Editor

We welcome letters to the Editor, a chance for members of the community to comment on issues of concern to them. All letters must be original, not duplications of letters addressed to public officials or written by others. The views and opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of this publication, its publishers, Editor, or staff.

To the Editor
Ken Schneider is Lincoln County’s Sheriff. He is running for re-election and is on the ballot for the August 9 primary. When asked what the most important part of being Sheriff is, his response without hesitation was, “Protection of the people.” Ken has dedicated 32 years to just that. He started in Corrections. He then subsequently held the positions of Patrol Officer, Communications Lieutenant, and Special Response Team Commander. He was also the Firearms Instructor, Taser Instructor, and Active Shooter Instructor. The past 3+ years he has been your Sheriff. This is not always a popular position. He has made tough decisions, but he has always put the safety of the citizens and visitors of Lincoln County first.
Please vote for Ken Schneider for Sheriff on August 9.
Thank you.
