Wzsalek named Student of the Week

Jefferson Elementary School fifth grader, Cameron Wzsalek, has been named Student of the Week. Cameron is the daughter of Nick & Dana Wszalek.
Cameron’s teacher, Mrs. Van Alstine, nominated her saying, “Cameron embodies all of our ROAR values by always being prepared, working hard, actively participating in all of her classes, and showing kindness to everyone. She seeks ways to challenge herself and consistently demonstrates strong leadership skills. We are proud to have you in our class, Cameron!”
When asked her favorite part of school, Cameron responded: “I love specials because it’s a chance to get out of our chairs. I like art because you can express yourself on paper. In gym you get your bodies active. Specials are a great way to get away from the classroom for a little bit.”
Cameron’s favorite subject in school is math. “I like math because it is more challenging. I like to challenge myself,” she said.
“Some day I would like to be a photographer,” Cameron added, “Because I always like taking pictures, especially of my dog. I like adding filters and special effects.”
