Larry G. Fehr, age 84, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Pinecrest Nursing Home in Merrill, WI. Larry was born in Gleason, WI, on July 11, 1941, to the late John and Helen (Pophal) Fehr. He was married to his best friend and love of his life, Phyllis Zoellner, in 1960; she passed away in 2018.
A lifelong resident and proud enthusiast of Gleason, Larry was a charter member of the Gleason Area Lions Club, supporter of the Gleason Boy Scouts, and was the owner of Tanglewood Bar for nearly 30 years where he made many great friends. A member of the Local 310 Carpenters Union, he worked at The Boldt Company and C.R. Meyer for many years and was proud to be on the set construction for the popular movie, Twisters Revenge. Larry loved the outdoors where he could trap and bear, moose, and deer hunt. In his retirement years, he enjoyed musky fishing and golfing. Along with his wife, Larry loved casino trips and the many adventures they shared over the years. Above all, he cherished his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Dean (Lori) Fehr, of Long Beach, MS; and his daughter, Laurie (Daniel) Tracey, of Tomahawk, WI. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Brianna Tracey (Ben Bouche) and Logan Tracey. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen; his wife, Phyllis; and his brothers, Herman, Bill, John “Jack”, Don, and Duane.
A visitation for Larry Fehr will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Generations Funeral Home. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, November 8, at the Gleason Area Lions Park, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Inurnment will take place at the Chat Cemetery in the Town of Birch.
