John N. Wienandt, age 61, of Irma, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his residence. John was born in Neenah, WI, on April 12, 1965, to the late William E. and Dorothy (DeBraal) Wienandt, Sr. He was united in marriage to Michelle Wallin on September 23, 2000, and together they shared nearly 26 years of marriage. She survives.
A lifelong resident of the Irma area, John was a 1983 graduate of Merrill High School where he was a member of FFA. Following high school, John began farm work and later worked at Lincoln Wood Products and Lincoln Hills. John eventually became co-owner and operator of Jeb’s Bar & Grill alongside his nephew and, most importantly, his best friend. The two shared not only a business but a special friendship and countless memories throughout the years.
John was a faithful Green Bay Packers fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. He also enjoyed the outdoors and many of the activities that came with living in northern Wisconsin. Hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling were among his favorite pastimes.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Wienandt; his daughters, Yavonne (Jeremie) Writz and Amanda (Jacob) Bartz; his nephew, Elliot “Squeeks” Hirnschall; and his sisters, Deborah Huber, JoAnn (John) Proft, and Tina (Bob) White. John is further survived by his grandchildren, Jewel, Scarlet, Ryker, Alex, Corbin, and Alayna. He was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Dorothy Hirnschall; and his siblings, William Wienandt, Jr., Sharri Wienandt, and Edward “Butch” Wienandt.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Jeb’s Bar & Grill, beginning at 3:00 PM. A private graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
