Herman Kyle Mitchell

Herman Kyle Mitchell, 53, of Merrill ran to Jesus’ loving arms Dec. 5, 2024 while in the arms of his beloved wife, and in the presence f his 2 dear friends. Born July 18, 1971 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he graduated from Pleasant Valley High School, Brodheadsville, PA, then proudly served in the US  Navy  Dessert Storm.  He married his soul mate, Tammy (Boyer), March 16, 2002. He was a passionate cat parent, raising numerous felines throughout his life, leaving behind Gelata Grace who was with him in his final hours.  Also surviving are his “adopted” children of his heart are Emilly Rodriguez, Larry Hernandez, Audrey and Fernando Boscan of Florida, and Leamarie Hayes of  PA, and  his foster daughter, Anna of  Merrill.  Grandchildren: Leonidas Hernandez, Nikolas Hernandez, Ezekiel Kyle Hernandez (named in honor of his grandfather Herman), and Lucas Boscan all of FL.

 Also surviving are his brother Kennneth Mitchell (Debbi), Brother-in-laws: Daniel Boyer Sr. (Regina) and Stephen Boyer, nieces: Shyanne Lebar, Samantha McKain, and Samantha Boyer of PA and Genesis Boyer of Holland, nephews: Jordan Boyer, David  Boyer and Daniel Boyer Jr. of  PA.

Herman was a loving inspiration to all who met him. An avid chef, he cooked for everyone he met, especially his famous NY Style pizzas. He loved cooking for holidays and once served a Thanksgiving meal for many Guatemalan friends welcoming them to the USA. He fed, clothed, and housed friends and strangers alike. His life was a loving testament to serving friends, family and anyone who crossed his path. He also enjoyed wood- carving, cars (antique Mustangs) and Harley Davidson.

Services will be held at Ascension Episcopal Church, Merrill on Dec. 28, 2024 at 10:30am. He will be laid to  rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Fair winds and following Seas, until we  meet again  on that glorious  day.
