Colette C. Neuens, fondly known as Putzy, passed unexpectedly March 1, 2026 at age 77 at her home in Stevens Point, WI. Colette was born on May 19, 1948, to the late Ambrose and Aurelia (Laufer) Neuens in Wausau, WI. She was married to Thomas Billings for 5 years and they resided in Oak Creek, WI. She graduated from Merrill High School and was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay, WI. She spent many years residing in Green Bay, WI.
Colette had an innate ability to remember dates. She could meet you once and after several questions about anything under the Sun she would ask for your birthday and remember it until the day she passed. She was a giver and if she could have afforded it, would do anything for anyone. She had one of the most infectious, loud laughs that could bring anyone a smile. She truly cared for people and wanted to know all about them and their lives. She also truly loved animals and leaves behind her sweet dog Honey Bee, who loved Colette with every ounce of her little 3-pound body. If she knew you, she loved you, and would literally tell people she just met that she loved them from the start. If she was asked what her greatest accomplishment was she would tell you her daughter Corrie. Her pride for all that her daughter has accomplished in life was shared every chance she had with anyone that would listen.
Colette is survived by her daughters: Corrie Neuens (Kristin Clements), sister: Marilyn Seitzer (“Farmer”), nieces Brenda (Jamie) Barrone, Linda Krause, Stacy (Staffen) Comer, Mindy (Staffen) Flick and many extended nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Jeanne Krause, brother-in-laws: Milton Krause and Rick Seitzer, nephew: Cole Seitzer and an infant son, Michael Paul Neuens.
