Linda L. Koob, age 74, of Merrill, WI, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Linda was born in Merrill, WI, on August 28, 1949, to the late Bernard O. and Helen M. (Krueger) Winkelman.
Linda was a graduate of the Merrill High School. She held various jobs while moving throughout the United States. She returned to the area working at Aqua Finance in Wausau and Walmart in Merrill. She was a faithful member of the Tomahawk Community Seventh-day Adventist Church. Linda enjoyed passing her time knitting and crocheting. With a caring heart, she donated hundreds of hats to area schools and hospitals for patients and newborns. She made many memories spending time with her friends and church family.
Survivors include her son, Peter (Glorivik) Koob; her daughter, Kelly Krivanek; her brother, Larry (Debra) Winkelman; and her sisters, Sally (Leonard) Smith, Carol Caylor, Paulina Osness, and Joanne Powers. Linda is further survived by her grandchildren, Kyle, Kyla, and McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Helen; her brother, Benny Winkelman; and her brothers-in-law, Daniel Caylor and Steve Osness. Memorial services for Linda Koob were held at Tomahawk Community Seventh-day Adventist Church. Rev. Eric Anderson officiated. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
