John M. Klobucnik

John M. Klobucnik, age 82, of Irma, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau.  He was born on November 20, 1941 to the late Joseph and Margaret (Uko) Klobucnik in Chicago, IL.  John attended and graduated from high school, and went on to further his education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, majoring in math.  He met Kathleen Galusha, and the two lovingly exchanged marriage vows on October 10, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa, a union lasting nearly 60 years.  She survives.

John worked as a computer programmer, and retired from Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee after 20 years.  He taught math for a short period in Chicago.  John was a collector of model trains, and had quite the collection!  He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his boys.  In his younger years, he was a Boy Scout leader and a hockey coach.  John is remembered as a funny man that enjoyed a good joke or two!  He will be sadly missed, but always in the hearts of his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife: Kathy Klobucnik, sons: James “Jim” (Kari), Marc (Christina) and Brian (Ann), grandchildren: Devin, Arianna, Derek, Anthony, Cody and Kayla, and brother: Joseph (Arlene).  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Mary Kaye.

Per family request, no formal services will be held for John.
