The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Board members and Director of the Outreach Center are blessed to be in a position to witness people helping people in our Merrill community. βThe season of giving takes place year-round at St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Center in Merrill,β they say.
Recently, the Outreach Center was the recipient of two very generous donations.
Pamela Zettelmeier of Waukesha crochets mittens, and for the past five consecutive years, she has donated volumes of mittens to the Outreach Center. Her most recent gift? While visiting her son in Merrill, Zettelmeier dropped off 300 childrenβs mittens at the center.
Another Merrill couple also recently surprised Sue Norenberg, Operations Manager at the Outreach Center, with a generous quantity of winter-appropriate donations.
Deb and Dick Erickson delivered 27 childrenβs winter coats, 24 pairs of snowpants, 95 pairs of childrenβs winter pajamas, and 14 stocking caps plus mittens, slippers, and miscellaneous childrenβs and adult items.
βThese gifts will have influence in the lives of the recipients,β Norenberg said. βThese donors show the spirit of giving is alive in Lincoln County. We thank them for their generosity.β
St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Center is located at 503 S. Center Ave., Suite 2, in Merrill. Norenberg can be reached at 715.539.2666.
