On Sept. 14, 2023, the Merrill Girls Varsity Tennis Team played against the girls from Wisconsin Rapids.
“Tonight was Senior Night for Lauren ‘Gracie’ Belsky, Chloe Belant, and Allie Hunter,” Merrill Girls Varsity Head Tennis Coach Brad Barton said. “The kids wrote and delivered speeches for each of them, as this was their last home meet of their career.”
“Merrill played well considering all the things they were juggling today,” he said. “Our team is 1-12-1 so far this year, but I could not be prouder of the girls.”
“Lauren Belsky has one of the better records on the team with three wins,” Barton said. “Chloe Belant also has three wins. Allie Hunter has also come a long ways, as this is only her second year playing tennis (Wrestling being her primary sport).”
