The Merrill Girls Varsity Swim Team competed against Wausau East at the Prairie River Middle School (PRMS) pool on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023. While the Lady Lumberjacks won the meet, the Lady Jays also made a good showing.

The Merrill Girls took first place in the following events:
Event 2. 200 Yard Medley Relay, with Addison Jirovec, Olivia Pajtash, Marissa Mils, and Claire Jirovec coming in with a time of 2.02.71.
Event 4. 200 Yard Freestyle, with Marissa Miles coming in at 2:11.18.
Event 6. 200 Yard IM, with Olivia Pajtash coming in at 2:30.98.
Event 10. 100 Yard Butterfly, with Addison Jirovec coming in at 1:06.70.
Event 18. 100 Yard Backstroke, with Addison Jirovec coming in at 1:07.66.
Event 20. 100 Yard Breaststroke, with Olivia Pajtash coming in at 1:18.17.
