The Merrill Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 31, 2023, at the new Strive 4 Life, LLC, location at 902 E. 1st St. in Merrill, in the back half of the American Family Insurance, David J. Cooper Agency, building.
Strive 4 Life settled into their new location and opened to the public there on May 1.
“This move was a needed opportunity for our business,” said Kathy Olson, Co-Owner of Strive 4 Life, LLC. “Although smaller than our previous location, we now have bright natural light in our lobby area and a needed parking area for our customers.”
The move has also made their business more visible to the public, Olson and Co-Owner Tammy Strehlow say, and this is a plus.
Strive 4 Life provides blood testing labwork “at an affordable price” for their customers. They do not accept health insurance, but provide a less-expensive alternative than many labs and hospitals that do accept insurace, providing an affordable alternative for customers who have high deductibles or who do not have health insurance.
Blood test kits are also welcome for a small draw fee, they say.
Since opening for business in early 2022, Olson and Strehlow have been providing in-office drug and alcohol screens, and they will be training for DOT oral fluid collection when it becomes available (later in 2023 or early in 2024), they said.
They also offer DOT consortium service, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and third party administrative (TPA) services.
Olson is a certified collector and trainer for urine drug and breath alcohol screens, and Strive 4 Life accepts walk-ins for those services; no appointment is necessary. She is also a certified calibration technician for the Intoximeters Alco-Sensor V XL (RBT VXL).
Strehlow is a certified collector for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests, as well.
Olson and Strehlow are currently seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with DOT Registry to work in their office to enable them to expand their offerings.
