Geiss Meat Service of Merrill is State Fair Champion Meat Processor

Geiss Meat Service won awards at the Wisconsin State Fair … taking home Grand Champion honors for their bratwurst and Reserve Champion for their ham.

Geiss Meat Service of Merrill won Reserve Champion at the Wisconsin State Fair for their bone-in ham, and they also won the Grand Champion for their bratwurst. Their items were auctioned off at the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction where their bone-in ham sold for $2,800 and their bratwurst sold for $4,600. The auction raised more than $105,000 for the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation, based in Madison, which supports more than 150,000 youth who take part in various 4-H leadership, developments, and community-building activities throughout the state including 4-H conferences, teaching materials and workshops, and overall development of 4-H youth.
