Merrill Community Night Out draws families

Indoors various community groups had lots of swag to collect to help attendees learn more about their agencies, as well as games to play to invite interaction with those in attendance.

The 11th Annual Merrill Community Night Out was a great opportunity for families to get out to explore all the protective services that make Merrill a safe community and to meet officers, deputies, fire fighters, and other emergency personnel in an informal setting.
Outdoors, kids of all ages enjoyed the chance to sit inside the equipment used by the different agencies at the Aug. 1, 2023, event held at the Merrill Festival Grounds.
And inside the Merrill Expo Center building more agencies provided swag to collect, the chance to play games, and more activities.
Free food, music provided by Bluejay 96.3, and great weather all made for a fun evening.
Thanks to all the agencies that came out to make this year’s Community Night Out a success: Merrill Fire Department, Merrill Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Justice, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County, Merrill Street Department, Merrill Transit System (Merrill-Go-Round), Merrill Enrichment Center, T.B. Scott Free Library, Raise Your Voice, Northcentral Technical College, Bluejay 96.3, and many others.
