The 11th Annual Merrill Community Night Out will be held on Tuesday. Aug. 1, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. in the Merrill Expo Center/Merrill Enrichment Center at the Merrill Festival Grounds. The protective services that make Merrill a safe place to live will be on hand, with officers and squads from the Merrill Police Department and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, along with vehicles, firefighters, and EMTs from the Merrill Fire Department. It’s a great opportunity for kids to interact with law enforcement officers and to check out police cars and fire engines. There will be special presentations by the Merrill Police and Merrill Fire Departments.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will also be represented, along with Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County.
Merrill area departments and resources will also be showcased, including the Merrill-Go-Round (Merrill Transit), Merrill Enrichment Center, the T.B. Scott Free Library, and many others, along with Northcentral Technical College.
Free Merrill-Go-Round bus rides are available to and from the event with pick-ups during the five o’clock hour and departure from the event at 6:45 for return rides. Reservations must be made before 4 p.m. the day of the event by calling 715.536.7112.
Bring the kids and the entire family to Merrill Community Night Out for free food, activities, and fun, rain or shine. Music will be provided by Merrill’s own Bluejay 96.3.
