Robert “Bob” E. Reed, age 63, of Tomahawk, WI, and formerly of Merrill, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice Services. A beloved father, brother, and uncle, Bob was born on April 3, 1960, to the late Robert D. Reed and Alberta Leone (Yocum). He was born in Philadelphia, PA, where he grew up with three sisters. In the weeks leading to his passing, Robert was surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was under the comfort care of hospice and the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Services. Robert will be remembered for his sassy, fun-loving nature who was always quick with a joke as well as, surprisingly, giving sound advice to those closest to him. He had always been a firm believer in the higher power, even in dark times.
Robert leaves behind his only son, Steven Reed, of Merrill; his sole surviving sister, Barbara “Sissy” Kasten, as well as his longtime friend and brother-in-law, Kent Kasten, of Merrill. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews (he will forever be their Uncle Eddie), along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.Robert is preceded in passing by his loving parents, Alberta and Robert; two sisters, Linda Rivera and Joanne Hughes; and his nephew, William C. Gibson III.
