03-22-23
At 11:47 a.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 6:55 p.m. a caller reported a mother and daughter fighting with one another. It was found the daughter had become upset about the amount of food she received for dinner and an argument ensued. The daughter attempted to punch her mother but missed. The mother then attempted to hold the daughter down and the daughter bit her. The daughter then armed herself with a knife and threatened to kill her mother. The daughter was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

At 1:51 p.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 2:54 p.m. a Wausau resident reported a Merrill resident stole their identity through obtaining credit cards. Investigation continues.
At 4:55 p.m. a Merrill Detective and the K9 unit assisted Wausau PD with a search warrant in Wausau.
At 5:20 p.m. a caller reported a large chunk of ice fell from her apartment building, damaging her vehicle. She was told to contact her insurance company and the owner of the building to make a report.
At 9:18 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle, as the registered owner was found to not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was arrested for that warrant.

At approximately 11:13 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted, as the operator of the motor vehicle was stopped for driving 48 in a 25 mph zone. The operator of the motor vehicle was taken into custody for operating while under the influence (1st) and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Marijuana.
At approximately 2:45 a.m. an officer was on routine patrol when he observed two male individuals run away after they saw his squad car. The officer followed the individuals, eventually catching one. The individual was found to be a juvenile. The juvenile was issued citations for underage drinking and possession of underage tobacco.

At approximately 1:29 a.m. officers were dispatched to an establishment on W. Main St. for a report of a fight in progress. Officers found that a patron had been asked to leave by the owner after causing issues in the establishment. The male subject refused to leave and, as the owner attempted to escort the male subject out, he proceeded to grab ahold of the owner’s shirt, ripping it, resulting in the altercation. The male subject was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
At 10:10 a.m. an officer took a report of a group of dogs at a residence attacking another dog, as the owners and dog walked past the residence on the sidewalk. The owner of the attacking dogs was cited for keeping a vicious animal.
At 2:32 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a driving complaint where several neighbors advised that another neighbor has been continually doing “burn outs” in the alleyway. The offending driver was also believed to have broken a vehicle window caused by the flying rocks and debris from his burn out(s). Contact was made with the suspect driver who admitted to the driving behavior. He will be cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle. The investigation in regards to the broken window is still ongoing.
At 7:34 p.m. an officer conducting focused patrol in the 3500 block of E. Main St. observed a vehicle in the parking lot, parked toward the far back of the parking lot. The officers observed what appeared to be the occupants lighting something. Contact was made with the vehicle occupants, and the officer detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating several items of drug and drug paraphernalia. The male driver was found to have an open bond that prohibited the possession of controlled substances. He was arrested for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping, and issued a citation for operating after suspension. A female passenger was cited for possession of THC.
