Merrill announced a First Holiday Decorating Contest for homes and businesses, as a joint effort between the City of Merrill and the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce. Homeowners and businesses who wish to be entered should contact the appropriate office to register and start decking their halls and their yards and buildings, too. On North Center Ave. in Merrill, the Bares’ home already features a giant Frosty the Snowman, as well as a nativity and lights.
