Christmas Craft and Vendor events will be held this weekend at three locations in Merrill on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Merrill Eagles Club, 1205 Lake St.; Les and Jim’s, 1208 N. Center Ave.; and VFW Post 1638, 601 Johnson St., will all play host to hundreds of area crafters, vendors, boutiques, and small businesses. Individual booths will feature handcrafted and one-of-a-kind items, including jewelry, home decor, clothing, holiday decorations, and gift items; baked goods; books; and home goods for purchase, as well as some raffle baskets for fundraisers.
Food will be available for purchase at most locations, so shoppers can stop for lunch while they’re out shopping.

Christmas Spirit Book Drive
New this year, the Christmas Spirit Lincoln County United Giving Tree Program is requesting book donations for their families in need that can be used to supplement other gift items area children in the program will receive. To participate, “Shoppers can pick a tag off of the tree located at Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes in the back bar area of their banquet hall during Saturday’s event,” said Laura Bares, one of the event coordinators and representative for Usborne Books. Shoppers select a tag and then make a donation in the amount of the tag selected. “Tags are in the amounts of $5, $10, $15, and $20, and the money will be used to purchase new children’s books for children in need,” Bares said.
“Reading is a wonderful way to spend quality time with little ones and fosters strong communication and academic skills,” she adds. “If you missed your opportunity to pick a tag from a tree throughout the community to purchase a gift for a child, this is another way you can help!”
