Melissa Yates is a familiar face for Extension Lincoln County, but is assuming a new role as the new 4-H Educator. Melissa has coordinated and taught nutrition programing with Extension FoodWIse for the past six years.
Additionally she has experience in school health education, leadership in local and state organizations, coaching high school sports, and developing her personal businesses.
Melissa has been a 4-H volunteer for years, participating in many events and projects with her three daughters. Her favorite 4-H activity has been as a chaperone at several camp locations, and with different 4-H leadership.
Melissa has a Bachelor of Science degree in School Health Education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. “
I am thrilled to be a part of this positive youth organization, and am looking forward to finding new sparks around Lincoln County and beyond!” Melissa said.
Melissa began her new position on Aug. 8, 2022, and is based in the Extension office, Lincoln County Service Center (801 N. Sales St., Merrill). She can also be reached at [email protected] or by calling the Extension office at 715.539.1072.
