Notes: The Merrill Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire on Hwy. 51 early the morning of April 12, 2022, and then to a motor vehicle accident with injuries later that same day on Cty. Rd. K. That accident may have been caused by a medical emergency. That same day, the Department also responded to a small grass fire that may have been the result of a cloud to ground lightning strike associated with the line of storms that rolled through the area that day.

Late that evening, the Department responded to a building fire at 111 Logan St. on April 12, then to another house fire at 804 N State St. on April 13 (just after midnight), and the day after (April 14) was requested by the owner to return back to that same building on State St. to extinguish a small area of insulation found to be smoldering. Crews performed salvage and overhaul to extinguish the insulation.
