UW-Milwaukee will hold virtual commencement ceremony in December

More than 1,900 students attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) received degrees during the university’s virtual commencement exercises held Sunday, Dec 19, 2021, in Milwaukee.
From our area, Kyle Henrichs of Athens received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the UWM College of Letters and Science.

UWM is the second largest university in the State of Wisconsin, with over 24,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Smith named to Northland College Fall Dean’s List

Allison R. Smith of Merrill, a Sophomore at Northland College, has been named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance during the fall 2021 term.

To qualify for the dean’s list, full-time students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale with no grade less than a “C.” Northland College is a private liberal arts college located in northern Wisconsin.

Hinner named to MSOE Dean’s List for Fall Quarter 2021

Robert Hinner, from Merrill, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List for the 2021 Fall Quarter. Hinner is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean’s List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive “high honors.”

Root named to Dean’s List at St. Norbert College

Brendan Root of Merrill was named to the 2021 fall semester Dean’s List at St. Norbert College. A minimum 3.5 grade point average is required for academic eligibility.

Founded in 1898, St. Norbert College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college located in De Pere, Wisconsin, just outside of Green Bay. Recent years have seen record enrollments and unprecedented investments in the St. Norbert College campus. Schreiner named to Dean’s List at UW-Superior

Abigail Schreiner of Athens has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Superior Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2021 semester.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

Founded in 1893 as a teacher’s college, UW-Superior now has more than 60 program offerings, select graduate programs, competitive Division III athletics programs and research and scholarship programs that support the community and region.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior is a nationally recognized public liberal arts institution of more than 2,600 students in the Superior-Duluth, Minn., metropolitan area. UW-Superior has more than 50 program offerings, select online and graduate programs, competitive Division III athletics programs, continuing education, research and scholarship programs that support the community and region.
