College graduates

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced Haley Beyer of Merrill graduated in May with a Master of Science Education in school psychology.
Carroll University in Waukesha announced Brooke Bushor of Merrill graduated in May with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announces the following spring 2021 graduates:
• Hunter Reed, of Athens, with a degree in Software Engineering
• Devin Leonard, of Merrill, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering

Mid-State announces spring 2021 Dean’s List

Mid-State Technical College announced area students have been named to the Dean’s List for the 2021 spring semester:
Deveney Eckardt, Surgical Technologist, Athens
Amber Scholl, Nursing, Athens
Heather Richards, Early Childhood Education, Merrill
This recognition is reserved for Mid-State students who have enrolled in six or more credits and have earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 during the semester.
Mid-State Technical College, one of 16 colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System, offers associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates in a variety of high-demand fields. Campuses in Adams, Marshfield, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids serve a resident population of approx. 171,370. More than 9 in 10 Mid-State graduates are employed within six months of graduation.

Murray named to Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for spring 2021

The University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee (UWM) has announced Catherine Murray, School of the Arts Undergrad, Irma, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.

Area students named to Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for spring 2021

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced the following area students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester:
• Kimberly Cummings, Criminal Justice, Gleason
• Andreou Goetsch, German, Merrill
• Ryan Leskela, Mechanical Engineering, Merrill
The Dean’s List honors those full-time students who earned high honors in the spring 2021 semester.
College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture, and the College of Liberal Arts and Education require grade-point averages of 3.75 and above for Dean’s List honors, while the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science requires students to reach at least a 3.50.
UW-Platteville, founded in 1866 and located in Southwest Wisconsin, is home to more than 6,500 undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to the Platteville campus, the university has campuses in Richland Center and Baraboo. In 2020, UW-Platteville was named the best public institution in Wisconsin for annual return on investment for the fifth consecutive year by Payscale.

Gleason student named to UW-Platteville Chancellor’s List

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced Kimberly M Cummings of Gleason, who is majoring in Criminal Justice/Psychology, has been named to the Chancellor’s List, for the spring 2021 semester. The Chancellor’s List honors those with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages,
UW-Platteville, founded in 1866 and located in Southwest Wisconsin, is home to more than 6,500 undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to the Platteville campus, the university has campuses in Richland Center and Baraboo.
