The Lincoln County Forestry, Land, and Parks Department has announced county campgrounds and toilet facilities will remain closed until further notice.
“Due to Emergency Order #28 and April 23 direction from the Lincoln County Health Department, the Lincoln County Forestry, Land, and Parks Department must regrettably close our campgrounds and all park toilet facilities until further notice,” the department advised, as part of a press release issued last week.
“This closure includes New Wood Campground, Otter Lake Campground and Underdown Campground. Also toilet facilities at Tug Lake Park, New Wood Park, Larson Lake Park, Horseman’s Park/Underdown Trail Head, Otter Lake Park/Picnic area, Hay Meadow/Prairie Dells Park, and the toilets at the County Highway B trailhead.”
“Playground facilities at Tug Lake Park and New Wood Park are also closed.
“If you still plan on enjoying our walking trails, we ask that you maintain physical distancing guidelines and plan ahead for your own sanitary needs and keep our outdoor areas clean. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes anyone planning on enjoying the use of our facilities.”
