Sunday evening, April 26, the Wisconsin Pro Rodeo announced the cancellation of this year’s event, set for June 12-14.
As part of a social media post Sunday evening, the WRPR committee issued the following statment; “Rodeo Fans, it is with our sincere regret that we will be cancelling the Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo on June 12th-14th, 2020.
“In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we will be honoring the safety of our fans, contestants, vendors, committee, and all that assist us in providing a fun-filled weekend. So, mark your calendars and save the date for the Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo, June 11th-13th, 2021! We will be back with an action-packed weekend with an added specialty act, great food, and entertainment for all ages to enjoy.
“Stay well and be safe, from our families to yours. We will see you in 2021!”
