Connor Mootz earns Athlete of the Week
Merrill High School senior Connor Mootz has been a three-year varsity contributor on the Merrill boys basketball team. As the point guard Mootz is instrumental to the Jays running their offense and averages just over 8 points per game.
Mootz was a two-year varsity player for the Merrill football team and enjoys staying active in school programs, such as participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. On his free time Mootz likes to play video games and spend time with his friends and family.
The son of Julie and Jim Mootz of Merrill, Connor currently maintains a 3.0 GPA. Following graduation this spring, Mootz is unsure of where he will attend college. He stated his choice will be between UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point.
