Merrill Police reports

October 16
7:07 a.m.- An officer responded to a vandalism complaint. The caller advised some time over the weekend, someone had taken green spray paint and vandalized a semi-trailer on their property. Investigation is ongoing.
7:23 a.m.- An officer observed vandalism that had been done to the hydro dam building. The building was spray painted. Investigation is ongoing.
1:01 p.m.- An officer responded to a damage to property complaint. The caller advised some time on Friday, unknown individual(s) damaged a water fountain and three electrical outlets. Investigation is ongoing.

October 17
10:21 a.m.- An officer responded to a damage to property complaint. The caller advised someone had damaged electrical outlets on a building. Investigation is ongoing.
7:02 p.m.- An officer responded to a theft complaint. The caller advised two of their vehicles had gas syphoned out of them overnight. No suspects at this time.

October 18
8:10 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle for a defective exhaust system. A passenger of the vehicle was identified and later found to have a warrant through Lincoln County. The male was taken into custody for the warrant and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

October 19
8:09 a.m.- Officers were requested to take a male subject into custody for a probation violation. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
9:43 a.m.- A female subject was located that had a warrant for her arrest through the Merrill Municipal Court. She was taken into custody and transported to the jail.

October 20
1:30 p.m.- An officer responded to the dog park for a disorderly conduct complaint. The caller stated a female who was inside the dog park began to yell, curse and act disorderly towards her for walking up to the dog park. The female then left in a vehicle and the license plate number was obtained. Investigation is ongoing and the suspect may be cited for disorderly conduct.
5:30 p.m.- Officers responded to a battery complaint. The caller stated the neighbor was at their residence and had struck a male party there. Contact was made with all parties involved. The involved female stated the male had grabbed on to her and she was defending herself as she is working on a restraining order against him. There is a no contact order between the male and the female’s boyfriend. The male party was arrested for bail jumping as he had confronted the boyfriend also.

October 21
1:30 a.m.- Officers responded to a fight in progress involving approximately 15-20 people. Contact was made with the individuals who were not actively fighting. It was found that a male party had fled from the scene that started the incident. That male subject was located and was cited for disorderly conduct. Another male party was found to have a warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody.

October 22
3:07 p.m.- Officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint. The caller stated a male party was outside at the neighbor’s residence and was banging on the door causing a disturbance. Contact was made with the male party and a female who was inside the residence. Both advised the incident was a verbal argument and the male party left the scene.
