ReadyLincoln.org goes live in observance of National Preparedness Month

Lincoln County Emergency Management and the Lincoln County Health Department are pleased to announce the completion of ReadyLincoln; an emergency preparedness website for Lincoln County residents. This website has been in the works for over a year and was made possible by grants received from Wisconsin Emergency Management and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The purpose of ReadyLincoln (http://www.readylincoln.org/) is to connect the public to information and resources to help them prepare for, respond and recover from natural disasters and emergencies. The website contains information, tools and resources, news updates, event listings and weather alerts.

“We also plan to utilize the website during natural disasters and large scale emergencies to inform the public,” says Jeff Kraft, Lincoln County Emergency Management Director. “Our goal is have ReadyLincoln be the one stop shop for information so that the public doesn’t have to seek out information from multiple locations.”

Individuals can stay connected by liking ReadyLincoln on Facebook. ReadyLincoln also has a website alert feature, which allows residents to be notified by email when news, announcements and content is added to the website.

“The recent natural disasters remind us of the importance of preparing our families and communities for disasters, “says Kristin Bath, Lincoln County Health Department Public Health Educator. “We hope ReadyLincoln provides residents with the tools and resources to start these conversations and begin planning and preparing as a family.”

Residents are encouraged to visit ReadyLincoln.org and to like ReadyLincoln on Facebook.
