Janet L. Anderson

Janet L. Anderson, 70, of the Town of Pine River, passed on to her heavenly home on September 21, 2017 after battling Early Onset Alzheimer’s for ten and a half years.

Janet was born, March 29, 1947, in Spokane WA, daughter of the late Claire & Laura (Ficca) Pennel. She graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Secretarial College in Spokane. She married Arlan ‘Andy’ Anderson on December 30th 1966. Janet was an excellent typist and worked at UW-River Falls while Arlan was in college.  Janet was a full time mom until her three children were in junior high. Then she worked for the USDA-Farm Service Agency as a program assistant.  Before her abilities were impacted by Alzheimer’s, she kept busy sewing, golfing, kayaking, snowshoeing, and gardening.  Janet enjoyed her flower beds and spending time with the grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her husband, Arlan ‘Andy’ Anderson of Merrill; her three children, Kari Anderson of Merrill, Jeff (Charlene) Anderson of Rib Mountain, and Tamie (Brad) Hall of Tomahawk.  Janet had one sister, Joyce (Roger) Bippes of Greenacres, WA. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Kind Hearted Home Care and Woodland Court Elder Care Service for their compassion and care of Janet as her health declined.
