Felony cases filed
Bradley T. Turonie, 40, Merrill, was charged Jan. 13 with battery and false imprisonment. According to court records, the charges stemmed from an incident at a city of Merrill residence on Nov. 30, 2015. A $1,500 cash bond was set.

Justin M. Osero, 31, Merrill, was charged Jan. 11 with knowingly violating a restraining order and felony bail jumping. According to court records, Osero violated the restraining order Jan. 8 by attempting to contact a female through Facebook.

Ashley L. French, 25, Tomahawk, was charged Jan. 11 with possession of methamphetamine and possesion of drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine. According to court records, French was pulled over for speeding Jan. 10 on Hwy. 51. An officer found 2.7 grams of meth, a digital scale and gem bags in the trunk of the vehicle. She posted a $500 cash bond.

Ricardo J. Robles, 47, Tomahawk, was charged Jan. 11 with felony bail jumping. According to court records, Robles violated his bond conditions on Jan. 8 by consuming alcohol.

Julie A. Vangroll, 18, Merrill, was charged Jan. 8 with possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine. According to court records, police found scale containing methamphetamine in her vehicle during a traffic stop in the city of Merrill on Jan. 7

Zachary A. Oelke, 26, Mosinee, was charged Jan. 7 with misappropriating ID-avoid penalty, retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. According to court records, Merrill police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Merrill Walmart on Jan. 6. Oelke was found in a vehicle in the parking lot with stolen merchandise on his person. He initially gave officers a false name. Methamphetamine, needles and a scale were found in the vehicle. Oelke was out on a Marathon County felony bond at the time.

Ashley B. Szarkowitz, 28, Wausau, was charged Jan. 7 with retail theft, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, felony bail jumping and dealer possess untaxed controlled substance. A $5,000 cash bond was set. According to court records, Szarkowitz stole $430 in merchandise from Merril Walmart in several large purses on Jan. 6. When booked into the jail she was discovered to have 3 bags of methamphetamine totaling 8.4 grams and .7 grams of marijuana concealed on her person.

Lao Xiong, 19, Wausau, was charged Jan. 5 with possesssion of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping. Bond was set at $3,500 signature and $500 cash. According to court records, Xiong stopped by Merrill police on Jan. 5 with an open beer in the vehicle. An airsoft gun was also found in his pants waistband. A pipe with meth residue, several empty gem bags and a digital scale were found in the vehicle. He was out on a Marathon County bond at the time.

Alyssa R. LaFave, 18, Merrill, was charged Jan. 5 with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $3,000 signature bond. According to court records, she was found to have a methamphetamine pipe on her during a traffic stop in the city of Merrill Jan. 5.

Tanner H. Graap, 21, Merrill, was charged Jan. 4 with burglar, theft, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. He was released on $5,500 signature and $500 cash bonds. According to court records, Graap stole a chainsaw from a Pine River residence on Dec. 28, 2015.
