Jeremy S. Booth, 42, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 4 for OWI 3rd offense. Following a no contest plea, he was sentenced to 190 days jail and 30 months driver’s license revocation. According to court records, the offense occurred on Jan. 29, 2015.

Desmond A. Walker, 26, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 8 for disorderly conduct. Following a no contest plea, a $330.50 fine was ordered. According to court records, the charge stemmed from a Nov. 22, 2015 disturbance at a city of Merrill residence.

Christopher R. Martin, 40, Medford, was sentenced Jan. 4 for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing an officer. Following no contest pleas, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail on the disorderly conduct charge and 180 days in jail on the resisting/obstructing charge. According to court records, Martin refused to get out of a taxi in the city of Merrill and then resisted arrest on Oct. 31, 2015.

Eugene Shafer, 53, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 8 for disorderly conduct. Charges of resisting/obstructing an officer and battery were dismissed and read in. following a no contest plea, Shafer was sentenced to 10 days in jail. According to court records, the offense occurred on Oct. 28, 2015 at a city of Merrill residence.

Tommy J. Lipke, 29, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 5 for disorderly conduct. Following a no contest plea, Lipke was fined $100. According to court records, the offense occurred on Jan. 2, 2015.

Christopher J. Wynos, 27, Merrill, was sentenced Dec. 30 for felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct. Charges of resisting/obstructing an officer were dismissed and read in. Following a guilty plea, Wynos was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 18 months extended supervision on the bail jumping charge and 90 days jail on the disorderly conduct charge. According to court records, Wynos ran from an officer at a Cty. K residence on Oct. 15, 2015 while he was out on a bond through Shawano County.

Lamar Smalls, 18, Milwaukee, was sentenced Jan. 5 for battery by prisoner. Charges of battery and disorderly conduct were dismissed and read in. Following a guilty plea, Smalls was sentenced to 3 years probation and 72 hours community service. According to court records, Smalls battered another youth at Lincoln Hills School on July 16, 2015.

Dusty L. Chapin, 33, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 6 for disorderly conduct. A charge of marijuana possession was dismissed and read in. Following a guilty plea, Chapin was sentenced to 12 months probation. According to court records, the charges stemmed from a July 28, 2015 disturbance at a city of Merrill residence.

Chad C. Staehle, 28, Tomahawk, was sentenced Jan. 7 for burglary and robbery by use of force. Charges of battery, felony bail jumping and aggravated battery were dismissed and read in. Following guilty pleas, he was sentenced to 3 years prison and 3 years extended supervision on the burglary charge and 5 years prison and five years extended supervision on the robbery charge. The sentences will run concurrently. According to court records, Staehle was involved in a home invasion robbery in the Tomahawk area on March 25, 2015. In an unrelated case, Staehle was sentenced for disarming a police officer. Charges of neglecting a child, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting/obstructing an officer were dismissed and read in. Following a guilty plea, he was sentenced to 2 years prison and 2 years extended supervision. According to court records, those offenses occurred on July 19, 2014, when Staehle was found acting strangely while walking with a small child in Tomahawk. He knocked a taser out of an officer’s hand while being arrested.

Jamie L. Lemere, 28, Rhinelander, was sentenced Jan. 6 for criminal trespass to dwelling and theft. Following guilty pleas, Lemere was sentenced to 60 days jail, restitution (to be shared by accomplices), 24 months probation and ordered to write a letter of apology to the victim. According to court records, the offense occurred on Aug. 13, 2013 when Lemere kicked in the door of a town of Skanawan residence and stole a safe.

Robert T. Towne, Jr., 36, Oshkosh, was sentenced Jan. 4 for OWI 4th offense. Following a guilty plea, he was sentenced to 3 years probation, 140 days jail, 28 months driver’s license and a $2,335 fine. According to court records, the offense occurred on April 19, 2014.

Scott D. McGee, 43, Mequon, was sentenced Jan. 5 for disorderly conduct and carring a handgun where alcohol is sold/consumed. After revocation of probation, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail on the disorderly conduct charge and 9 months in jail on the handgun charge. Conditions include no alcohol/taverns, no contact with the victim and AODA. According to court records, the original offenses occurred on April 18, 2013.

Joseph A. Schmidt, 47, New London, was sentenced Jan. 5 for failing to provide sex offender information. Following a guilty plea, he was sentenced to 90 days jail.

Colton J. Chase, 24, Tomahawk, was sentenced Jan. 8 for sexual assault of a child by a person who works or volunteers with children. Two identical counts were dismissed and read in. Following a guilty plea, Chase was sentenced to 36 months probation, 8 months jail, fined $250 and ordered to have no contact with the victim. According to court records, Chase had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female while he was a volunteer coach for the Tomahawk High School track team.

Jesse M. Kleinschmidt, 20, Merrill, was sentenced Jan. 8 for burglary and criminal damage to property. A charge of theft was dismissed and read in. Following a no contest plea, he was sentenced to 2 years probation, 60 days jail and ordered to pay $500 restitution. According to court records, Kleinschmidt broke into the Schley Town Hall on Aug. 21, 2011, stole electronic equipment and used a fire extinguisher inside the building.
