Lincoln County Sheriff?s Department reports

Emergency units from Tomahawk along with deputies responded to a one vehicle crash Tuesday morning outside of Tomahawk. A cell 911 call at 4:56 a.m. reported the crash on US Hwy 8 at McCord Rd. Tomahawk Fire along with Tomahawk EMS responded to the scene. When Lincoln County deputies arrived on the scene they discovered the crash had taken place on the Oneida County side of the road. Deputies assisted with traffic control for over an hour as Oneida County deputies worked to clear the crash.
A 24 year old Tomahawk man was arrested Tuesday evening on a drug charge. A deputy stopped Andrew M. Powers on North Fourth Street at Prospect St. for an equipment violation. The K9 unit from the Rhinelander Police Department was brought to the scene but prior to doing a walk around of the vehicle Powers voluntarily turned over a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana. Powers was brought to the Lincoln County Jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released after posting a cash bond.
A 48 year old Tomahawk man was injured after an ATV crash late Friday night in the Town of Bradley. Dale C. Stichmann was traveling eastbound on Kaphaem Rd when his riding companion used a hand signal to turn into a gravel pit. As the first ATV did not have a functioning tail lamp Stichmann struck the rear of the machine and rolled his own into the ditch line which landed on top of him. Stichman was transported to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital where he was then flown by the Spirit to the trauma center at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital. He was treated for his injuries and released on Saturday. The Rec. Deputy investigated the crash and will cite Stichmann for operating an ATV while intoxicated. The Tomahawk Fire Department assisted at the scene.
A 24 year old Tomahawk man was arrested Friday night after a disturbance in the Town of Bradley. Witnesses told deputies that a vehicle came into the parking area at Pride Dam off of County Rd E and drove recklessly with the driver yelling threats to the parties fishing there. Michael J. McGlin was later found driving on South Tomahawk Ave and stopped, he admitted to getting into an argument with the subjects fishing, he was cited for reckless driving – endangering safety and brought to the Lincoln County Jail on a disorderly conduct charge. He was later released after posting a cash bond.
Deputies are still completing reports but expect more than 10 underage drinkers to be cited after they responded to a loud party complaint early Sunday morning in the Town of Bradley. A call was received after midnight reporting loud music on Beach Rd. Most of the underage persons who ranged in age from 16 to 20 were from Tomahawk but others were from Merrill, Rhinelander and Wisconsin Dells.
The Town of Russell Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Sunday afternoon in the Langlade County Town of Summit. A cell 911 call reported the outbuilding on fire on Stone Rd at 1:14 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene for over an hour. The Town of Russell provides fire protection to the Town of Summit under contract.
Five people reported striking deer this past week. Another turkey was also struck. A Merrill man struck the bird on State Rd 17 near County Rd C causing damage to his vehicle.
