Four area youth were injured, three seriously, in a one vehicle rollover accident on County Road Z in the Township of Scott in the early morning hours Sunday.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department 911 Center received a call reporting the accident on County Road Z west of Scott Road at about 4:20 p.m. Initial reports indicated that three people were injured, but it was later discovered that there was actually four occupants in the vehicle, all of whom sustained injuries.
Andrew J. Burrows, 19, is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle. He was transferred by ambulance directly to Aspirus Wausau Hospital with serious injuries. Kyle W. Helmstadter, 20, was initially transferred by ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill before later being transferred by helicopter to Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield for critical injuries. Shelby L. Hutchison, 19, was initially transported by ambulance directly to Aspirus Wausau Hospital and later transferred to UW Hospital in Madison by helicopter with serious injuries.
Melissa S. Espeseth, 19, was transported by ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Hospital where she was treated and released.
As of Monday, Burrows was listed in serious condition at Aspirus in ICU,
