Council Grounds Visitor Appreciation Day
On Wednesday, July 7, Council Grounds State Park will host a Visitor Appreciation Day. Scheduled events at the beach include wildlife displays, a 1 p.m. plant/tree hike and the Merrill City Band at 7:30 p.m.
From 3-6 p.m. Skip Jones, Wisconsin folk singer and storyteller, will be playing at the log shelter house where there will also be a raffle and refreshments available through the park’s Friends Group. Bring a lawn chair and sit back to enjoy takes and songs from Skip.
