Varsity Cross Country Team to host Sectionals Friday, Oct. 24

The Merrill Cross Country Team held their home Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at the Merrill Area Recreation Complex (MARC), with eight teams competing.
Athletes from Antigo, FCA, Lakeland, Medford, Mosinee, Northland Pines, and Tomahawk came to compete against Merrill, and three Merrill athletes placed in the top 10.
For the Merrill Boys, Jacob Mueller placed 4th with a time of 18:07.09 and Ben Hanson placed 8th with a time of 18:57.67 in the top 10 male finishers.
For the Merrill Girls, Charlotte Van Der Nest placed 9th with a time of 23:04.23 and was among the top 10 female finishers.
After a busy fall season on the run, Merrill will again play host this Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, and again at the MARC. This time the Bluejays will host 17 teams for the Cross Country Sectionals. Races will begin at 4:15 and 5 p.m.
