Merrill-area residents who lack computers at home may qualify for long-term, no-cost loaned laptops through Techquity WI, a statewide program now operating locally through Merrill Area United Way.
The initiative provides eligible participants with laptops or tablets, along with one-on-one support to help users navigate their devices for work, education, healthcare, and daily needs. The program also connects participants with affordable internet options and free online learning resources.
“Techquity WI is a game-changer in ensuring digital access for Wisconsin communities. By providing no-cost devices and digital literacy support, we are helping individuals unlock new opportunities and bridge the digital divide,” said Debbie Moellendorf, Executive Director for Merrill Area United Way.
