Merrill Varsity swimmers place fourth at Rice Lake

The Merrill Varsity Girls Swim Team traveled to Rice Lake on Oct. 24, 2025, to compete in the Conference Meet against eight other schools and took fourth place overall with a team score of 182.5 points.
In individual events, Merrill racked up one 1st-place finish, along with four 2nd-place finishes, one 3rd-place finish, two 4th-place finishes, and one each in 7th, 8th, and 12th place.
Marissa Miles made a splash at the meet, taking home first place in the 100-Yard Butterfly and second place in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, with a time of 1:00.05, beating her own personal-best time and breaking the Merrill High School record for the event. She also took second-place with her teammates in the 200-Yard Medley Relay and 400-Yard Freestyle Relay events.
