McCrank hosts open house for 35th Assembly voters Thursday

Posted

Elizabeth McCrank, the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s 35th Assembly District, will host a candidate forum and open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at the Agra Pavilion, 401 S. Park St., Merrill.
The event is open to everyone, and McCrank plans to answer questions and hear residents’ concerns, according to a release from her campaign. Possible topics include school funding, rural roads, rural health care, and transportation. McCrank also plans to share proposals for how those and other priorities could be funded, the release said.
Light beverages, snacks, and cookies will be available.
The event was originally proposed as a town hall forum to be moderated by Blue Jay Radio and the Merrill Foto News, but Republican incumbent state Rep. Calvin Callahan responded that he was not available on the selected date.
McCrank faces off against Callahan in the Nov. 3 general election.
