Margaret Mary (Woller) Sense

Margaret Mary (Woller) Sense, affectionately known as "Marge," passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau, at the age of 91.

Margaret was born on July 21, 1934, to the late Reinhard and Adeline (Tesch) Woller. She graduated from Merrill High School and, on May 5, 1956, exchanged vows with Eugene Charles Sense at St. John's Church in Merrill, WI. Together, they built a life on the family farm centered on family, hard work, and service to their community.

Margaret spent many years working alongside her family on the Jenny-Ville Farm. She was also employed at Good Samaritan Hospital and Walmart in Merrill. Throughout her life, Margaret was known for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to help others whenever needed.

In her free time, Margaret enjoyed sewing, bowling, gardening, playing cards, and collecting antiques. She was a well-known local volunteer and an active contributor to the antique exhibits at the Lincoln County Fair in Merrill. Her dedication to preserving local history and her commitment to her community earned her the respect and friendship of many.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Michael Sense, Jean (Gary) Hoffman, and Scott (Cindy) Sense; her grandchildren, Robert (Denise) Hoffman, Tracy (Travis) Thompson, Jeff (Tanya) Schneider, and Jody Schneider; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Kathryn (Leon) Samuelson and Sharon (Wayne) Kirby; and her dear friend, Holly Rauen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Sense; her parents, Reinhard and Adeline (Tesch) Woller; her sisters, Sylvia Zoellner, Dorothy Merkel, and Alice Roberts; her brothers, Jack Peter Woller, Robert Woller, Lane Woller, and Pat Woller; and her in-laws, Harry and Adeline (Krueger) Sense.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, designated for a memorial bench at the fairgrounds.

Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, unwavering work ethic, and willingness to help others. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
