MAPS accepts October and November donations

The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the Oct. 22, 2025, Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Education meeting:
The donation of the automotive lift valued at $2,500 from Brickner’s Park City with removal and installation of the new one from Walts Petroleum valued at $2,000 for the Merrill High School (MHS) Automotive Program; the donation of funds from Little Lakes Memories valued at $3,200 for the Merrill Special Olympics new equipment and backpacks; a monetary gift from Merrill Forward Together valued at $1,000 for the MHS Nest Backpack Project; a monetary gift from the Merrill Community Foundation valued at $350 for the MAPS Back-to-School Bash; a monetary gift from the Community Foundation - Steven Dahm valued at $1,100 for the MHS Baseball Program Hall of Fame; and a monetary gift from Roseanne M. Schleif valued at $500 for the Merrill School Forest.

The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the Nov. 19 Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Education meeting:
Funds from IncredibleBank valued at $450 for covering the cost of Washington’s 4th grade field trip to the Merrill Historical Society and 4th grade Family Night supplies;
320 pumpkins from Grandpa’s Farm valued at $640 for Kate Goodrich students to enjoy the fall season; pumpkins from OCD Diesel & Automotive valued at $100 for student engagement and raffles for students at Kate Goodrich; a monetary gift from St. Stephens United Church of Christ valued at $1,765 for the Kate Goodrich, Washington, and Prairie River Middle School Nests and the Merrill High School Food Pantry; money from American Family Insurance valued at $1,500 for food needs at the Merrill High School, Prairie River Middle School and Washington Nests; a check from the Optimist Club of Merrill valued at $1,000 for Teen Mental health First Aid at Merrill High School; and gift cards from Secret Santa valued at $2,000 for providing opportunities to all students at Merrill High School.
