Elaine C. Schultz, 95, of Eau Claire, passed peacefully into her eternal heavenly home on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Elaine was born in July 1931 to the late James and Margaret Hamlin in Merrill, Wisconsin, where she grew up. Elaine graduated from Merrill High School in 1949 and received her nursing degree from Columbia College of Nursing in Milwaukee in 1952. In April of 1954, Elaine was united in marriage to Thomas Schultz in Merrill.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Craig (Meg) Schultz and Jenny (Mike) Ball; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Ball, Megan (Kyle) Witek, Gretchen (Corey) Pederson, and Rachel (Shane) Shepherd; great grandchildren, Brielle and Brinley Ball, Henry, Charlie and Addie Witek, Piper and Emma Pederson, and Shane Atticus Shepherd; two sisters; two brothers; along with many dear nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Schultz; an unnamed infant; infant son, Eric Schultz; four sisters; five brothers; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Myrtle Schultz; and other in-laws.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3214 Golf Road, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12 at Evergreen Funeral Home and also one hour prior to service at church on Tuesday. Private interment at later date. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
