Saari named to Iowa State spring 2026 Dean’s List
Jack Saari of Merrill, a mechanical engineering major, was named to the Dean’s List at Iowa State University for the spring 2026 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List must earn a grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework.
Wienke named to UMD Dean’s List for spring semester 2026
Macy Wienke of Merrill, a junior at the Swenson College of Science and Engineering, Biology B.A. through the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) was named to the Dean’s List for spring semester 2026. Students on the Dean’s List achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher while earning a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits.
UW-Oshkosh spring 2026 Dean’s List, Honor Roll released
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh released the names of area students who qualified for the Dean’s List and Honor Roll in spring 2026. The term grade-point average (GPA) requirement for University Honor Roll is 3.3; the term GPA requirement for Dean’s List is 3.75, out of a possible 4.0. To qualify, a student must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, with no individual grades below a “C” or incomplete grades. The following Merrill students were recognized:

Area students named to UW-La Crosse spring 2026 Dean’s List

Vaughn named to MSOE spring 2026 Dean’s List
Daniel Vaughn of Merrill was named to the Dean’s List at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for the spring 2026 semester. Vaughn is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Students on the Dean’s List have earned at least 12 credits in residence, are in good academic standing, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
Bauman and DeGier named to Wisconsin Lutheran College spring 2026 Dean’s List
Two Merrill students were named to the Dean’s List at Wisconsin Lutheran College for the spring 2026 semester. To be eligible, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.
Arabella Baumann, a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran College and also a graduate of Northland Lutheran High School, and Grace DeGier, a sophomore at Wisconsin Lutheran College and a graduate of Northland Lutheran High School, were both named to the Dean’s List.
Hoock and Schulz named to UW-Superior spring 2026 Dean’s List
Two Merrill students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for the spring 2026 semester. To be eligible, students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Ally Hoock and Rheanna Schulz were both named to the Dean’s List.

Hanke named to Winona State spring 2026 Dean’s List
Bailey Hanke of Athens was named to the Dean’s List at Winona State University for the spring 2026 semester. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time with at least 12 graded credit hours and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Brzoznowski recognized in UW-Whitewater Hired Before Graduation
Jordan Brzoznowski of Merrill was among more than 200 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students recognized through the university’s Hired Before Graduation program, which honors students who were hired, promoted, accepted to graduate school, or started their own business before commencement. Brzoznowski graduated Saturday, May 16, 2026, with a degree in occupational safety.
