A woman on a call-in radio program said she didn’t need the $1,400 stimulus check and wondered how to send it back. But I’d recommend–if you don’t need the money–giving it to HAVEN or St. Vinnie’s or a food pantry or the homeless shelter or somebody who really needs the cash.
Pass it on.

To the Editor:
I offer my commendation to the new editor of the Foto News. Since she took the job, there has been a significant improvement in the quantity and quality of local news articles in the paper. The coverage of the T.B. Scott mansion and Maple Grove School issues were particularly good. I have been disappointed with the coverage of local government and school district issues for the last decade and hope to see more comprehensive coverage in the future. All local governments will be facing significant financial challenges in the near future and, without coverage in the local paper, it will be difficult for the average citizen to be informed.
