The following donations were approved at the October MAPS Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Two wrestling mats from the Wrestling Booster Club valued at $9,167.00 for the Merrill Wrestling Program. Touch-pads from the Merrill Aqua Jays valued at $5,375.00 for the timing system for swim team meets. Cash from Jamie & Steven Diestelhorst valued at $150.00 for purchasing one scholastic book per month of school for each student Mrs. Goeden’s classroom; a check from an anonymous donor valued at $1,000.00 for providing a book for each student to home each month for 5 months for building their home libraries; a check from an anonymous donor valued at $500.00 for student use at Washington Elementary School; school supplies from Brandon Schult valued at $175.00 for student needs at Prairie River Middle School; four gift certificates from Hugo’s Pizza valued at $62.00 for Pine River School for Young Learner’s Family Pizza NIght prize drawings.
The design work of graphic wrap for the band trailer from Aliteral Company valued at $1,200.00 for MAPS Marching Jays; clothing from an anonymous donor valued at $65.00 for extra clothing for children at Pine River School for Young Learners and 250 pens from Cortright Auto Glass, LLC valued at $300 for office use for the Merrill School District.
