Debra “Debbie” Jean (Swenson) Court, 52, of Merrill, was taken unexpectedly as a result of a vehicle crash, on November 9, 2018.
She was born January 20, 1966, in Rhinelander, to Wayne and Julia (Lunde) Swenson, the youngest of six children. Debbie married the love of her life, Daryl H. Court, on April 21, 2007, whom she leaves behind.
Debbie graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1984. She went to work for Horizons, she then since has worked at Pizza Hut, K-Mart and Home Depot, and at R-Store in Wausau, where she was promoted to be part of the management team. Debbie was a very hard worker and held many jobs, sometimes two at a time. She was so full of life that you couldn’t help but to smile in her presence. She so enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, always taking the pictures. Doing her rummage sales were her thing. She enjoyed spending every moment she had with husband Daryl by her side. She was a collector of many things, wind chimes coming in at number one. Debbie loved the holidays, Christmas being at the top of her list. If there was a trophy for talking and socializing, Debbie would have 52 of them. She was always there when someone needed a friend.
Debbie, you will be so dearly missed by so many, and remembered with smiles and laughter.
In addition to her husband, Daryl, Debbie is also survived by her wonderful son, Nichola Luedtke, of Merrill; her stepsons: Daryl M. Court, Jr., of Shawano and Anthony Rustad of Stevens Point; her precious grandchildren: Scarlet, Eli and Lena; father Wayne Swenson; brothers Ron (Kelly) Swenson, Robert Swenson and Raymond Swenson; sister Evie Kanitz, all of Rhinelander; brothers-in-law: Dale (Clara) Court, St. Cloud, MN; Donald (Kimmer) Court, Waite Park, MN; sister-in-law Mary Court, of Iola; also her very special and close friend, Tammy Lofy, of Merrill. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Julie (Lunde) Swenson; a brother, Roger Swenson; and niece, Tabitha Swenson.
A celebration of life will be held at Pine Lake Town Hall on December 8, 2018, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. All are invited to come and share a memory of Debbie.
