The 2015 General Election has arrived!

Our founding fathers never explicitly described it as a “right.”

But for over 200 years many have fought for it. Many have fought to amend it. Some have been severely injured in trying to do it, others have lost their lives trying to defend it. What is “it” we are referring to? VOTE!
Get out today and make your voice heard! We have several local races to be decided including seats on various town boards, a potentially historical event in the form of a Wisconsin Supreme Court referendum as well as four candidates vying for three positions on the Merrill Board of Education. If you are unsure of whom to vote for, profiles of candidates in local races are available in last week’s editions of the Merrill Courier and Foto News. Polling places will remain open until 8 PM this evening.
